Stalking is a pattern of behavior directed at a person in a way that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear. Considered a crime in all 50 states, stalking is serious and may escalate over time, involving violence. It is often, but not always, carried out by someone known to the victim.
Stalking may involve following you, monitoring your phone calls, sending unwanted gifts, and other actions intended to control or frighten you.
