Volunteer Spotlight: Amy Muiderman Recognized for Dedication

This weekend, we were thrilled to see one of our amazing volunteers, Amy Muiderman, recognized by the Grand Forks Herald for her exceptional contributions to our community. Amy’s dedication to CVIC and her passion for giving back inspire us all.

Every week, Amy dedicates four hours to assisting with administrative work at CVIC. But her commitment doesn’t stop there—she also lends her creative talents by baking treats and hosting dinners for CVIC events. Her generosity and heartfelt contributions make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

“A lot of people talk about wanting to give back or invest in charities, but when Amy does it, she brings the heart and soul to it,” said CVIC President/CEO Coiya Tompkins Inman in the Herald article. “She’s incredibly creatively talented, and she always wants to find a reason to give back.”

Amy shared her perspective on why CVIC’s mission resonates with her: “They do important work for our community. The organization has been a model nationally for how they have approached the work and how they have approached the deeper understanding of violence in our societies. The idea of not just addressing victims of interpersonal violence but also aiming to prevent future victims is a power message.”

We are so grateful to Amy for walking this path with us to help end violence in our community. Her dedication and passion are truly inspiring.
